         Medical doctors separate the body into discrete parts and label each condition or problem, for example gout.  On the other hand, a holistic doctor would say there are high uric acid levels throughout the body, which is usually caused by systemic pH being too low for too long, fostering bacteria, virus, parasites and infection.  The thyroid stepped in to help the adrenals fight infections and eventually turned down metabolism.  A slowed metabolism means everything slows down, including brain function, reaction time and the ability of the body to remove as much uric acid (See Intestinal heading).

ADD, AUTISM, LEARNING CHALLENGES and ALZHEIMER’S

        This is a favorite topic of mine, because my first Masters’ Degree was in Special Education -Communication Handicaps.  I taught special education for nearly half of the 20 years that I taught in public schools.  I finally settled on first grade regular education, because I thought first grade was where I could make the biggest difference - teaching the essential tool of reading.  I became a reading specialist in my quest to help struggling kids.  The last few years I taught school, the average student leaving my first grade class tested at mid to late third grade level in reading with the best few students reading at beginning sixth grade level and the lowest students reading at beginning second grade level using WRAT standardized testing.

        I also spent ten years (partly while I was still teaching) tutoring reading and even wrote my own reading curriculum.  I, however, learned to tell every tutored student’s parent that, even though I consider myself one of the very best reading teachers around, they would need to seek reading instruction for their child about every two to three years - depending upon the degree of challenges their child had.  Excellent tutoring catches struggling children up to and above grade level, but their inattention falls them behind again in two to three years.  Hence, I continued my search for the answer.

        While I was tutoring, I spent more than $25,000 studying and working with what I thought might be the answer - neurofeedback.  I learned that neurofeedback does work to a degree because it encourages blood flow, which brings whatever quality of nutrients that the body is able to absorb to the brain (See Intestinal heading).  But premium quality herbs and food deliver nutrients that can jump start and continue superior growth everywhere - not just limited (to the quality of nutrients being supplied) growth in the selected portions of the brain (See Supplement heading).  Therefore, nearly 20 years ago while still tutoring and doing neurofeedback, I began studying nutrition.

        Every single ADD, autistic and learning challenged child that I have nutritionally QRA tested:

1.       Had poor adrenal function, which affects brain function.  When we have a conversation with another person and that person does not respond, we usually stop talking to them.  Similarly, when the adrenals are fatigued, they continue to NOT respond to the brain.  The feedback loop with the brain is then impaired, and the brain slows down (See Fatigue heading).  In autism and teens, poor adrenal function is also usually coupled with intestinal issues (See the Leaky Gut section in the Intestinal heading).

2.       Toxins in the brain from one or more of:

A.       Intestinal issues.

i.          Poor Nutrition, which often causes delayed brain growth, is remediable when caught early.  Many authors believe that a majority of learning challenges, including dyslexia, ADD and autism - nearing epidemic proportions - are caused by metabolic disorders originating from the mother’s physical condition during pregnancy or immediately after birth, including toxic milk produced by a nursing mother's poor diet.  The toxic milk slows down the babies’ metabolism, which causes malfunction of the body and brain.  Uric acid has also been shown to aggravate ADD symptoms.  Rumpelstiltskin could make gold from straw, but we mere humans cannot.  We need premium quality nutrients to make premium quality children.  Cow and goat milk is no better, because they are not fed better than we are.  Soy is no better either, because 80% of all American soy is genetically modified.  Further, too much soy unbalances hormones.

        The brain and nerves are very vulnerable to malnutrition damage, because they need a lot of energy and enzymes in order to function properly.  While the brain is only two percent of our body weight, it uses 25% of the glucose and 20% of the oxygen.  If nerve function is poor, mood, attention and general health also suffer.  Poor nerve transmission means slower reaction time, for example, in not moving hands up quickly enough to stop or brace for a fall - as in ADD without hyperactivity.  Many children with ADD, LC, autism, pervasive developmental disorder (PDD), and other developmental difficulties also have Candida overgrowth from poor diets (See Intestinal heading). 

ii.        Chronic Parasitic Infestation, in which parasite excrement - a toxin - is picked up by the blood and deposited in fat (See Depression and Intestinal headings).  The brain is more than 60% fat.

iii.      Chronic Viral, Fungal or Bacterial Infestations:  Bacterial excrement and fungal hormone storms are picked up by the blood and deposited in the brain (See Intestinal and Depression headings).

B.       Head Trauma, which accumulates toxins that can be removed with mudpacks.  Head trauma is said to be 16 times more important than injuries elsewhere (See Toxins and Mudpack headings).

C.       Heavy Metal Poisoning, also a toxin, from the environment - the air, water or interference fields from their thighs where they received injections (See Toxins and Pain headings).

        ADD and autistic children as well as depressed adults have been shown to be particularly low in the calming minerals - calcium, magnesium and potassium - and vitamins B6, thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2) and C.  These vitamins and minerals are available in large amounts in RAW green vegetables, but they leach into the water when cooked.  Liberal amounts of B vitamins are needed for the normal, functional development of a rapidly growing nervous system, including the brain (See Smoothie and Cook headings).

          The reason I lump Alzheimer’s into this category is that Alzheimer’s has essentially the same main issues:  low functioning adrenals, toxins in the brain, intestinal issues and heavy metal poisoning.  The main problem with helping individuals with Alzheimer’s is that there is no parent and often no child to help them.  For example, a client I had a while back who was trying to help himself with his “beginning Alzheimer’s” had a lot of difficulty following directions - taking his nutritional supplements each day and making and using mudpacks correctly.


ALLERGIES and Other BREATHING Issues

        Symptoms of food allergies are being a picky eater or being allergy-addicted,  such as being very upset about giving up a preferred food - usually processed, not 100% whole grain, flour.  Craving pasta, bread and other processed flour products are indicative of Candida overgrowth in the intestines (See Intestinal heading). The two most ‘allergic foods’ are gluten and dairy, which slow down and clog the gastrointestinal track and lower pH (See Intestinal heading).

        QRA testing often shows allergies and breathing issues to be an overload on the body’s two main detoxification organs - the liver and/or the intestines.  When the two main detoxification organs are overwhelmed, the blood moves toxins to the minor detoxification organs - the kidneys, lungs and skin.  All toxins are first sent to the liver.  But if the liver is overwhelmed with more toxins than it can handle, it tells the blood, “Sorry. I’m busy.  Take that load of toxins somewhere else.”  If the minor detoxification organs get overwhelmed or tired:

1.        The blood must find somewhere in the body to store the onslaught of toxins - usually a past trauma or fatty tissue (See Toxins heading).

2.        The adrenals will step in to fight infection from compacted toxins (See Fatigue heading).

3.        The minor detoxification organs begin to display symptoms such as:

A.       Sneezing in the upper respiratory system (See Depression heading). 

B.       Difficulty expelling air so that another breath can be taken in the lower respiratory system - the lungs (See Blood Pressure and Depression headings).

C.       Low back pain in the kidneys (See Kidney heading).

D.       Itching or rash on the skin (See Skin heading).

        HELP YOURSELF:

1.        Craving cows’ milk products is usually indicative of needing an “oil change”.  Add ¾ to one teaspoon of an animal source of Omega 3s daily, for example Nordic Naturals cod liver oil; and eliminate the hydrogenated and partially hydrogenate oil (See Oils heading).

2.        Take a good digestive enzyme, like PRL’s Q Digest, when eating dairy products, which should be taken when eating any cooked food by those over the age of 30.       

3.        Try switching to cheese that has been aged at least 90 days.  But your digestive system will be much happier if you just cut dairy out of your diet completely or at least cut it way down.  12% of American Caucasians, 75% of African Americans, 90% of Asian Americans, and many O and A blood types cannot digest cows’ milk products - including cheese, sour cream, cream cheese and cottage cheese - but not butter.  Butter is the fat, not the protein, of milk.  Incidentally, B blood types often still crave cheese even though they eat no bad oils and plenty of good oils.  Switching to soy milk is not the solution, because:

A.       90% of the soy in this country is GMO - genetically modified.  If soy is a must, buy organic - which cannot be GMO.

B.       I have had clients that ate a lot of soy and hence had hormonal issues that took a few months to balance. 

4.        Sticky stool is normally an indication of problems digesting gluten products.  Clients of mine - and clients of other QRA practitioners that I have met at advanced nutritional seminars - who could not eat gluten had intestinal infections.  Once the infections were eliminated, they were able to eat 100% whole grain products with no problems (See Intestinal heading).

5.        Pesticides and synthetic fertilizers can cause allergy symptoms.  If you are not terribly allergic to the food, try a bit of the same food that has been organically grown.

6.        Peanut allergy is usually caused by a fungus that grows on legumes.  Peanuts are not a true nut.  Peanuts are a legume that rots and get fungus easily.  Switch to a true nut, like almond or cashew butter instead of peanut butter.


ANTI-AGING

        Pain is a good example of a SYMPTOM of a problem.  Aspirin will TEMPORARILY stop a pain.  But the pain will come back at some later time, because aspirin only “kills the messenger” of the problem - the pain.  Continuing to take aspirin for a pain ignores the problem, which will normally get worse over time.  Similarly, wrinkles are one of the outward signs - or SYMPTOMS - of aging.  Wrinkles are a symptom that ALL of the skin on the body - inside and outside - is drying out and losing its elasticity (See Oils heading).  We can apply or take something to get rid of wrinkles TEMPORARILY (See Wrinkles heading).  And temporary changes - such as relieving a pain or changing the way we look - will make us feel better TEMPORARILY.  We may indeed even help to extend our lives a bit, because emotions do affect our physical body.  But emotions cannot remove toxins or stop infection, so for the most part taking aspirin or changing the way we look will NOT extend our lives.

        To get a more permanent youthful outside appearance, we must change the INSIDE of us - for example, clean out the digestive and circulatory systems and remove toxins from the brain and detoxification organs, including the skin (See Skin heading). 

         Anti-aging has been a topic of much research in the last decade with aging recently defined by quantum physicists as “chaos in the biofield”.  Anti-aging is therefore defined as coherence within a biofield.  A biofield is a body or any part of it.  Adrenals QRA testing weak, is an example of an indication of chaos within that specific defined biofield of the body - the adrenals.  Often after an episiotomy is mudpacked, adrenals will test strong - showing coherence within the biofield of the adrenals.  This is an example of an interference field or a “referred” problem in the adrenals coming from a trauma in an episiotomy that was not painful (See Pain heading for a discussion of interference fields).  If a mudpack on an episiotomy does NOT make the adrenals strong, then there are infections draining the adrenals (See Fatigue heading).

        Similarly if a knee hurts, for example, it makes no sense to say that the problem is aging.  Isn’t the other knee - the one that doesn’t hurt - the same age?  QRA muscle testing can tell which of the following are true.  The hurting knee either:

1.       Had a trauma many years ago and has accumulated toxins that need to be removed (See Toxins heading).

2.       Is building up toxins from an overload on the feet (See Circulation heading).

3.       Is receiving the lion’s share of the bone loss in the body because of the accumulated toxins in the knee (See Bone Loss heading).

4.       Is receiving referred paid from a trauma somewhere else on the body (See Pain heading).

          Just as a low, first morning urine pH is present in all chronic degenerative disease, a sustained continuous first morning urine pH between 6.0 to 7.0 is the first step - and the most important step - to a longer life and a more youthful appearance.  A 1/10 MOVE UP THE PH LADDER, SUCH AS FROM 5.1 TO 5.2, GIVES THE BODY TEN TIMES AS MUCH OXYGEN available to the tissue.  Every cell in the body breathes, requiring oxygen as well as nutrients (See Bone Loss heading).  Cancer, tumors, Candida and all chronic degenerative diseases cannot survive in an oxygen rich environment (See Intestinal heading).

          Further, putting low octane gasoline into a race car will make it run poorly and shorten its life.  AND putting poor nutrition into a human body, will also make it run poorly and shorten its life.  Taking the toxins and infections out of the body is only half of the anti-aging story.  The other half of the anti-aging story is putting super nutrients into the body. (See Budget, Cook and Smoothie headings).



BLOOD PRESSURE

High Blood Pressure is usually a collection of causes, including one or more of:

1.       Systemic bacterial infection.  Make an appointment for an in-person or telephone consultation for QRA muscle testing on my Contact page.

2.       Toxins stored in fat and muscle throughout the body, particularly in the feet, hands and chest.

A.       I have seen systolic blood pressure drop as much as 25 points within minutes after mudpacking both hands and feet in my office, where more mudpacks can be done because of the vastu there (See Vastu heading).  However, this kind of blood pressure drop is NOT permanent.  It is only a glimpse of what blood pressure could be if all or at least most of the toxins were removed from the body.  More toxins will flow down into the hands and feet again usually in just a few days - unless they are blocked by an interference field.  (See Pain heading for a discussion of interference fields.)

B.       An overload of upper respiratory toxins eventually stores in the chest cavity muscles and over time can cause major problems.  Liver flukes are at least ¼ inch long, so they have a lot of excrement.  This toxic excrement fills up fatty tissue, like the breasts and brain, causing memory difficulties and tender, swollen, hard lymph nodes - in front of and below the armpits - which can spread to the breasts (See Toxins heading).

      In time these toxins begin to fill up the surrounding muscle tissue - like the heart, the muscles between each rib and the diaphragm - which contracts to cause the lungs to fill with air when breathing.  Toxins make muscles tight and often sore.  Toxin-filled muscles have difficulty relaxing to allow all of the air out of the lungs so that another breath can be taken.  Further, tight muscles pull on anything they are attached to - like bone and other surrounding tissue.  Tight muscles between ribs can make breathing difficult.  When the heart muscle gets filled up with toxins, the heartbeat can become irregular and labored and also cause blood pressure to rise.  When both the lungs and the heart are not working well, it is called cardiopulmonary disease, COPD.  Make an appointment for an in-person or telephone consultation for QRA muscle testing on my Contact page.

3.       Poor kidney function. (See Kidneys heading).

4.       Bad teeth (See Gum and Teeth heading).

5.       Referred problems or pain from a trauma.  The heart is a midline organ. Midline traumas refer problems up and down the midline.  (See Hormonal heading for midline traumas and Pain heading for referred pain).  I have seen breast implant surgery, C Section scars, thyroid surgery, car accident trauma from hitting a steering wheel and head, teeth, rib, collar bone and vertebral traumas reflect to the heart.  The older the injury the more likely the referred pain can come from a longer distance away and further away on the body from the midline.

        Low Blood Pressure, in my experience, normalizes after adrenal, kidney and possibly liver or bone issues have been addressed.  (See Fatigue, Kidney, Depression and Bone headings.)


BONE LOSS

CALCIUM USE

        Calcium is the most important mineral in the body.  It is crucial to the proper functioning of:

1.       The heartbeat.  Calcium is the mineral that causes the contraction of the heart called the heartbeat.  Magnesium is the mineral that allows the heart to relax to get ready for the next contraction or heartbeat.  Without sufficient USABLE calcium and its cofactors, the heartbeat can and does malfunction, causing arrhythmia.

2.       Each cell of the body.  The pumping action of the heart pushes the blood throughout the body.  The blood picks up oxygen from the lungs and nutrients/food from the small intestines and takes them to the cells.  Each cell in the body has a calcium/magnesium mini-pump - much like the heart - that pumps toxins and waste out of each cell and oxygen and nutrients/food into each cell.

3.       The nerves.  Calcium is also crucial to nerve messages being transmitted from one nerve to the next at the synapses.  Poor nerve transmission means slower reaction time, for example, in removing a hand from a hot stove.

4.       Bone growth and bone repair.  Calcium not only grows bones in young people and repairs broken bones, it can rebuild bone - not to be confused with some drugs on the market that do not allow the body to get rid of dead bone, thereby making bones appear more dense.  Dead bone is brittle and breaks more easily than live bone.

        Most people do take sufficient calcium.  However, many holistic doctors believe that Americans are slowly turning to stone, because many Americans’ bodies are not able to use the calcium that they are taking.  Crucial to the proper use of calcium is understanding that CALCIUM IS A TEAM PLAYER.  Calcium cannot work alone.  In order for the body to use calcium it must have:

1.        A very low stomach pH.  The root cause of bone loss, such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, like all other chronic degenerative diseases, is low pH (See chronic degenerative disease in the AntiAging heading and also the Intestinal heading for a more thorough discussion of pH).  We are normally born with lots of HCL in our stomachs in order to break down mainly protein and calcium into small enough portions for the each little blood cell to carry throughout the body for distribution.  However, stomach pH is too high to break down - digest - calcium in someone who has stomach or intestinal issues (See Intestinal heading).  

2.        Sufficient enzymes.  We get enzymes almost exclusively by eating raw food.  However, intestinal issues usually cause stomach upset when eating raw food.  Cooking food does partially break down food, creating less intestinal upset.  BUT cooking food also destroys much of its nutritional value - destroying enzymes and losing many vitamins and minerals (See Cook heading).

         HELP YOURSELF:  Most people with intestinal issues can build up to drinking raw super food smoothies so that they can provide their bodies with essential enzymes and nutrients (See Smoothie heading).  However, smoothies will NOT repair infected intestines.

3.        Several minerals, vitamins and trace minerals.

A.       Calcium in the body needs to be in a two to one ratio with magnesium and a ten to four ratio with phosphorus.  Too much calcium or too little phosphorus prompts calcium to be stored.  The body flushes excesses of magnesium (See Fatigue heading).  Too much phosphorus, such as the phosphoric acid in soft drinks, erodes the teeth and is a major contributor to the rise in osteoporosis.

B.       To build bone, calcium works in concert with many trace minerals and vitamins, such as manganese, copper, zinc, iron and Vitamins C, D and K.  Take an animal source of Omega 3s on a daily basis for the Vitamin D within (See Oils heading).

        If the body has all that it needs to use calcium, first served is the heart, brain and each cell of the body. After all others have been served, the body will use any remaining usable calcium to build bone.  All infections must be quelled before the body will begin to build bone, because the body steals minerals - mainly calcium and magnesium - from bone to buffer the blood when there is low pH and several infections present that sustain low pH.  Otherwise, when the body gets calcium, it says:  “Halleluiah!  BUT I don’t have everything I need in order to use this calcium, so I will just store this calcium until I get the other things that I need.”  The body stores calcium as:

1.        Spurs on bones - particularly on the spine and feet.

2.        Deposits in cartilage leading to rheumatoid arthritis.

3.        Calcium crystals in nerve endings, causing irritation and pain.

4.        Stones in the kidneys and gallbladder.

5.        Plaque on teeth.

6.        Cataracts on eyes.

7.        Tinnitus in ears, but tinnitus can also be caused from an old head trauma or any trauma reflecting to the ear (See Pain heading for an explanation of reflecting pain).

8.        Deposits in the penis causing pain.

CALCIUM TYPES

1.       DO NOT TAKE CALCIUM SUPPLEMENTS IF YOUR KIDNEYS ARE WEAK.  Raw or very lightly cooked green vegetables contain the best form of calcium for everyone (See Smoothie and Cook headings).  Pasteurized milk is cooked milk.  Thus it requires 12 enzymatic reactions for the body to be able to use it.  Drinking unpasteurized milk requires trusting that the producer of the milk is extremely fastidious.

2.       PRL has made building bone easy with its LIVE SOURCE Sango marine coral - Coral Legend - which:

A.       Is ionized for more complete absorption.

B.       Contains over 70 trace minerals and magnesium in the proper proportion with calcium.

C.       Needs no enzymes in order for the body to be able to use it - because it is from a live source.  Coral Legend is from live coral that has broken off and is collected by divers.  Coral that has been cooked in the sun is just that - cooked - calcium carbonate.  It takes 12 enzymatic reactions for the body to be able to breakdown cooked coral or calcium carbonate, which is the main ingredient in most of the calcium supplements on the market as well as sidewalk.

            Calcium citrate requires three enzymatic reactions for the body to be able to break down, but like calcium carbonate there are no cofactors:  minerals, trace minerals, vitamins.  I have an older client that got rid of all of his infections and has been on maintenance products only for several years.  He does not like raw veggies, but used calcium citrate anyway because it is cheaper in order to maintain his pH at 6.4 - when 6.1 is just fine.  He consequently got a spur on his heel - which we dissolved using nutritional methods in a few months’ time.

D.       PRL’s Coral Legend in capsule form, called Coral Calcium, even contains Vitamin D - which I don’t recommend unless you just prefer capsules - simply because encapsulating anything is a process we pay more for.  The body needs more Vitamin D than is available in these capsules, so more Omega 3s are needed anyway.

          TEST YOURSELF and HELP YOURSELF:  Move first morning urine pH to a bare minimum of 6.0 and up to 7.0 WITHOUT using magnesium baths or ingesting vinegar, which do change first morning urine pH - but do NOT change systemic whole body pH and, therefore, do NOT assist the body to recover from bone loss or any other infection.  Because PRL’s Coral Calcium is ionized and needs no enzymes, it will work eventually - with diligence and persistence - to get rid of infections; but it is like taking DHA oil to supply EPA oil (See Oils heading).  It is going in the back door.  However, taking Coral Calcium to get rid of infections may be a cheaper monthly way to eventually get rid of infections, but it will cost more in the long run and take longer than using QRA muscle testing to use herbs to get rid of infections so that systemic pH can rise.

1.        Use PRL’s pH paper tape roll to test first morning urine pH.

A.       Urinate into a cup.

B.       Tear off one to two inches of pH tape.

C.       Stick the pH tape into the urine.

D.       Immediately compare the color of the pH with the color chart on the outside of the pH tape.

2.        If your pH is below 6.0 or above 7.0, take:

A.       One capsule of PRL’s Coral Calcium daily.  DO NOT TAKE CALCIUM SUPPLEMENTS IF YOUR KIDNEYS ARE WEAK; use greens - fresh or powdered - to help raise pH and support the kidneys (See Calcium Types below).

B.       Two capsules of PRL’s HCL just after each cooked food meal.  If HCL gives stomach problems, take two capsules of PRL’s Stomach Complex in a tea - steeped for at least ten minutes - just before each meal.

C.       One capsule of HCL Activator with each cooked food meal. 

3.        In three days, test first morning urine pH again.  Note that a pH above 7.0 will move up in number - becoming black - before it becomes yellow and then move to green.  If your pH is below 6.0 or above 7.0, add an additional capsule of Coral Calcium daily.  Now you are taking two Coral Calcium daily - one with breakfast and one with supper.

4.        Continue testing first morning urine pH every three days.  Add one more Coral Calcium capsule each three days until your pH STAYS between 6.0 to 7.0 or until taking Coral Calcium is too costly of a proposition.  If it takes more than ten Coral Calcium capsules daily to keep pH between 6.0 to 7.0, you most likely have two or more infections - which means it could take a few years before your need for Coral Calcium to maintain pH begins to decrease.

          HELP YOURSELF:  An inversion table can help nurse a bad back to health.  An inversion table ever so slightly separates vertebrae allowing squashed discs to be fed (See Immune heading for inversion table instructions.)  However, an inversion table will not help the body to get rid of bone infection.  Make an appointment for an in-person or telephone consultation for QRA muscle testing on my Contact page.


Health on a BUDGET

          Unfortunately, easy is almost always expensive - using premium quality herbs that work quickly.  Cheaper herbs are poorly grown, toxic herbs that at best will not help and at worst will add to toxic load.  I have QRA muscle tested quite a number of clients who religiously used products for a year or two that they got from other practitioners.  These products were less expensive than PRL products, but these clients still tested to have several serious infections (See Supplements heading).  Smart and cheap only works when there is a LIFESTYLE CHANGE

LIFESTYLE CHANGE 1:  A daily morning smoothie for breakfast (See Smoothie heading).  Smart and cheap requires patience, because using super foods in a daily morning smoothie will NOT BEGIN to have noticeable results for four to six months.  Super foods work, but if they had the kick of a mule that top quality herbs do, they would only be sold by doctors or pharmacies, because they could then be so easily misused.  Consider that if a food is not strong enough to help quickly, then it is not strong enough to hurt significantly if misused.  That is, however, why I suggest taking a month to build up the quantity of a daily smoothie.  I have had a couple of chronically ill people disregard that advice and consequently suffer the flu-like symptoms of cleansing too quickly (See Toxins heading).

LIFESTYLE CHANGE 2:  Do weekly mudpacks to take toxins out of the body, but mudpacks can be done in the home reasonable inexpensively.  You can call me every four to six weeks for a 15-minute in-person or telephone appointment to learn which sites on your body want to be mudpacked and with what fluid and how (See Toxins and Mudpack headings).

LIFESTYLE CHANGE 3:  Change what you eat and how you cook, because we are what we eat - actually we are what we can absorb (See Intestinal and Cook headings).  I know that sounds really harsh to many people; but take one thing at a time, and you will be less likely to give up.  Consider the story of the Three Little Pigs.  The first pig built his house of straw, and it blew away.  Consider the house to be the body and straw to be fast food.  The second little pig’s house of sticks also did not last very long.  Consider sticks to be boxed and canned food.  For a house/body to last for decades, it must be built with premium quality bricks/raw or very quickly cooked vegetables and fresh animal protein.

        When I am working with PRL fast acting, premium quality herbs, I have learned NOT to tell my clients what to eat or what not to eat, because within three to five months they feel so much better that THEY ASK ME what they should and should not be eating.  They also often tell me that they have joined a gym or started exercising or jogging.  However, this topic is health on a BUDGET - not health as quickly and naturally as possible with money not an object.  

        You will need to eventually cut out:

1.       Drugs, Alcohol and Tobacco, which severely compromise the liver and keep it from handling environmental toxins together with the toxins that go into and onto the body on a daily basis - for example pesticides on sprayed veggies, hormones in inorganic meat, heavy metals - especially lead - in the air and water of big cities, sodium laurel sulfate in shampoo and chlorine in the water.

2.       All Grain Products that DO NOT SAY “100% WHOLE GRAIN” ON THE INGREDIENT LABEL:  The key word is NOT “wheat” but “whole” ON THE INGREDIENT LABEL.  Many “whole wheat” products contain only a small fraction of whole wheat; thus “100%” IS ALSO VERY IMPORTANT (See Intestinal heading).  For example, if highly heated grain products are a must, Ezekiel and Food for Life bread products are made from sprouted grain, which is much healthier and lighter than other whole grain bread.  Ezekiel and Food for Life have cinnamon raisin bread, cereal, tortillas, pocket bread, hamburger buns and hot dog buns.  Habitually read ingredient labels, and purchase grain products, including cereal, with ingredient labels showing 100% whole grain, with no gluten, hydrogenated oil, partially hydrogenated oil or corn syrup as ingredients.

          TEST THIS YOURSELF:  Leave a couple of tablespoons of processed, white flour on the floor, counter or a protected area outside of your home for a week.  Even the bugs won’t eat it.

3.       Processed Sugar, which includes processed stevia.  If you do NOT have diabetes, sweeten your food and drinks with RAW honey, agave, maple syrup or WHOLE HERB stevia.  Raw honey contains anti-infective and anti-bacterial propolis.  Honey is helpful for sore throats and can even be used as a poultice on the skin.  Agave has ½ the calories of honey but is neither good nor bad for health.  Purchase dried stevia leaves at Whole Foods, or grow stevia (or spearmint for flavoring) easily in the garden.  Steep dried or raw stevia or spearmint leaves with tea leaves.  We can also eat raw stevia and spearmint or add them to salads and smoothies.

4.       Cooked Omega 6 Oils:  Cook only in olive oil in dark containers, coconut oil or organic butter - even if you buy inorganic meat.  Fat is a preferred toxin storage area of cow bodies too.  Butter is the fat of milk. (See Oils heading).

5.       Milk and Milk Products (See Bone Loss heading).

6.       Carbonated beverages have phosphoric acid.  Since the body is all about balance, it will flush calcium when too much phosphorus is consumed (See Bone Loss heading as well as the water section in the Fatigue heading).

7.       Processed Food:

A.       Do not eat food that does not come like God gave it to us, and God did not give us boxes or cans.  God did, however, give us ice, so frozen - though not as good as fresh - is okay.  Vitamins, minerals and enzymes are lost during the commercial processing of food.  The vitamins and essential oils - particularly Vitamin E - in all food begin to seep out as soon as nature’s seal is broken - for example in dried not immediately encapsulated herbs, prepackaged torn lettuce, shelled seeds and nuts, flour and pealed and cut fruit.

      Vitamin E is the oily vitamin, along with Bioflavinoids, that protects us from the sun.  Vitamin E is an antioxidant that helps skin handle stress.  A VITAMIN E DEFICIENCY MAY CAUSE A DEMAND FOR AS MUCH AS 250% MORE OXYGEN.  Consider that:

i.          Cancer is the ultimate infection.

ii.        Melanoma is skin cancer.

iii.      Cancer cannot survive in an oxygen rich environment.

iv.       Now consider this:  How much of the food that you eat has Vitamin E seeped out of because nature’s seal was been broken?

      A visible sign of Vitamin E deficiency is bruising easily.  Taking synthetic Vitamin E will NOT help.  The ingredient label must say or be a live source - like PRL’s Vitamin E.  A vitamin source without DNA cannot help to repair DNA and will eventually break down DNA.   Further, synthetic vitamins are but a fraction of the whole vitamin.  Like calcium, vitamins work in concert with the cofactors that they come with in nature (See Supplement and Bone Loss headings).

B.       Be aware of the “Dirty Dozen” - most pesticide sprayed foods - which is apples, bell peppers, celery, coffee, grapes, lettuce, milk, peaches, potatoes, strawberries, tomatoes and meat (Organic means the grain or grass the cow ate was not pesticide sprayed.)  Costco's brand of meat test strong/nontoxic, but buy farm raised fish at Whole Foods.  Costco and Whole Food’s fresh inorganic veggies and fruit (except strawberries, soy and mangos - which should always be purchased organic) test really good 99.9% of the time.  The fresh inorganic veggies and fruit in HEB, Randal’s and the large oriental market here in Austin, MT Supermarket, also test strong about 90% of the time.  Other than those markets, I do not recommend any markets or foods that are not organic.  Fresh fruit and veggies at Wal-Mart test strong about 80% of the time.  Also keep in mind that I only pick up and test food that really looks good.  I am all for supporting mom and pop stores, but the food I have tested in small markets has tested really poorly - strong/nontoxic about 50% of the time.

C.       Build up to eating at least of your food by weight raw.  All enzymes are destroyed when cooked, and all minerals and many vitamins leach out into the water used in cooking (See Intestinal and Cook headings).  The following essential vitamins are water soluble and, therefore, READILY LEACH OUT of food into water while being cooked:

i.          VITAMIN C, richest in citrus fruit, supports the metabolism of mood enhancers - serotonin, dopamine and epinephrine.  Vitamin C is also critical for collagen for eyes, blood vessel walls and skin.  Vitamins C, B6 and folic acid are also destroyed by light.  Buy vegetable and fruit juice, for example orange juice, in cartons or white and other colored plastic containers - NOT see through containers.

ii.        CHOLINE, a B vitamin, richest in wheat germ (only present in 100% whole grain), uncooked egg yolk (such as sunny side up and three-minute eggs - See Cook heading) and fish, supports fat utilization, weight loss, memory and brain chemistry metabolism.

iii.      FOLIC ACID, richest in raw green leafy vegetables, fights stress and fatigue while supporting neurological integrity.  One to three teaspoons of PRL’s Greens Mix - depending upon your size and how much raw greens you do eat - can be added to a morning smoothie in lieu of three daily servings of raw or lightly steamed dark green vegetables.

iv.       THIAMINE, B1, richest in the bran and germ of grain (only present in 100% whole grain), supports the nervous system and mental attitude.

v.         BIOFLAVINOIDS, P, richest in PRL’s Ultrapollen and the pulpy part of organic fruit - the white inside peel of citrus fruit - supports capillary/vein integrity.  Inorganic fruit has been show to have minimal Bioflavinoids, because of poor, stressed out lifeless soils and synthetic fertilizers.  Good soil has a mesh of fungal organisms throughout that feed plants, as well as a wealth of tiny bugs and worms that die and feed plants.

vi.       PYRIDOXINE, B6, richest in organ meat, particularly the liver and heart, and wheat germ, supports hormone balance.  Even if you buy inorganic muscle meat, buy organic organ meat.  All toxins are taken to the liver in cows and chickens too.

          In native tribes of old, the organs of the killed animal went to the strongest hunters, while the rest of the tribe ate the muscle meat.  Bears today still often eat the organ meat and leave the rest.  Before I became a naturopathic doctor, I used to crave the back of chickens and was very disappointed when the organs had been stripped from the inside of the back.  Later I realized the organs I craved therein were the adrenals and the kidneys.

vii.     VITAMIN U, richest in raw cabbage, is an intestinal tract healer, so the water the cabbage was cooked in has the vitamins.  Drink it iced.  Yum!

8.       MONOSODIUM GLUTAMATE, MSG, ASPARTAME (in Nutrisweet and cysteine in hydrolyzed vegetable protein): These excitotoxins can cause destruction of neurons within the brain with even low doses.  There have been many studies pointing to MSG as cause for such challenges as hyperactivity, ADD, learning challenges (LC), conduct disorder, autism, seizures, and a host of chronic degenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.  Studies show that when MSG is given to animals, there is neurological brain damage in the same areas as in Alzheimer’s patients - the hypothalamus, temporal and parietal lobes - which, incidentally, are the same areas that LC and ADD brains differ from normal.


CANCER

          First of all, I will not work with a cancer client unless that client is under an M.D.’s care.  That being said, the first step to getting rid of any chronic degenerative disease is to raise pH.  That means getting rid of all of infections, particularly parasitic infections.  For every 1/10th of movement up the pH chart, you get a ten fold jump in oxygen.  Cancer, tumors and Candida cannot survive in an oxygen rich environment.  (See pH section in the Intestinal heading as well as the Bone heading).  Dr. Huls, a now deceased osteopathic doctor, repeatedly told his students that at the core of cancer he always found a parasitic infection (See Intestinal heading).  Cancer is the ultimate infection; however, you may also have infections in your intestines, liver, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, adrenals, thyroid or other organs.  Infections in detoxification organs are very serious because the body is then unable to detoxify itself.  QRA muscle testing and premium quality PRL herbs can help support the body as well as help it get rid of infections. (See Supplements heading if you have used other brands of herbs, and are saying: “Uh huh right.  I tried that.”)

          Every cancer client I have tested had serious teeth infections that they were usually aware of.  But they had decided to ignore their teeth infections, because the cancer was a bigger deal.  In every one of these clients the teeth infections reflected to the cancer (See Pain heading for explanation of interference fields reflecting to areas that have no pain).  Teeth do not have to be painful to leak metals - for example from root canals - and reflect to a cancer.  German M.D.s came up with a tooth chart that shows which teeth reflect to various parts of the body - such as the front teeth reflecting to the prostate.  But the Germans also say that after a tooth infection has been going on for a while, it can reflect to any part of the body.  Make an in-person or telephone appointment on my Contact page to help your body get rid of its infections and check which teeth may need to see a dentist right now.

          HELP YOURSELF:

1.        An overload of toxins can also be a major contributing factor.  Water helps to flush toxins, but many toxins build up or get stuck in past trauma sites and need to be mudpacked out (See Blood Pressure and Toxins headings).  As little as five glasses of water or tea daily decreases the risk of colon, breast and bladder cancer by 50 to 75% (See Constipation and Fatigue headings).

2.        Cancer especially - and any chronic degenerative disease - is a heavy load on the kidneys.  You can provide TEMPORARY support for your kidneys by doing a CASTOR OIL PACK on your kidneys at least once a week.  Temporary support means the pack helps out as long as you do it.  Temporary support does not go after the cause of a kidney problem.  CAUTION:  Never do a castor oil pack on your intestines unless a QRA practitioner has told you that you do not have gut parasites or has told you to do gut castor oil packs to hatch all of the parasites so that you can get rid of all of them with the herbs you are taking.

A.       Lay two 9” by 12” layers of ORGANIC cotton flannel on a large plastic bag.

B.       Pour ORGANIC castor oil onto the flannel until it is sticky but not drippy.

C.       Even out the castor oil with the back of a spoon.

D.       Put a heating pad on the medium heat setting onto the back of your favorite chair and a towel over the heating pad.

E.       Stick the cotton flannel horizontally on your back centered at your waist and relax for 45 minutes to an hour.  Rest your hands on your hips with your thumbs in back and fingers in front.  The tips of your thumbs are right on or very near your kidneys.

F.        You can reuse this pack up to eight times.  Add castor oil if needed, but ALWAYS keep the castor oil container and pack in the refrigerator when not being used.

3.        Listen to and guard the words that come out of your mouth.  Don’t ever say “MY cancer”.  Don’t own the cancer (See Emotional heading).  Every cancer client I have tested had emotional issues that were keeping them from holding strong using QRA muscle testing to one or more of the statements:

A.       I love and forgive myself.

B.       Now I can be outrageously healthy.

C.       I love and forgive ___(usually a relative or spouse)___.  Forgiveness has nothing to do with other people.  Forgiveness is a gift we give ourselves.  It removes burdens from our hearts and pain from our bodies.


CHOLESTEROL

          The purpose of carbohydrates and fats is to provide energy.  The human body was actually designed to use carbohydrates as starter fuel - kindling - and fats as the major energy provider.  Eating a lot of kindling - carbohydrates - means the body never gets around to burning the fats that were eaten, resulting in high cholesterol or fats in the blood.

        However, it is high triglycerides - LDLs - rather than high cholesterol, that correlates highly with heart disease.  The human body produces LDLs to patch tissue.  If you wished to patch a bicycle tire, would you want a sticky patch or a patch that was not very sticky?  Sticky patches - also know as arterial plaque - hold better, and the body knows that.  LDLs are sticky, but HDLs are not.  LDLs are one of the ways the body heals itself.  It is like Candida, salt - and probably everything else in this world.  Some is necessary, but too much is a problem.  Candida is a garbage collector in the intestines.  Salt is necessary for the adrenals and to make hydrochloric acid to digest food (See Intestinal heading).

        Therefore, when there are high LDLs, the question really is:  What part of the body wants to be patched?  And how can that part of the body be helped to heal so that patching is not needed?  For example, insulin is a very irritating substance.  When too much insulin is moving through the bloodstream, veins and arteries may desire to be patched.  Make an appointment for an in-person or telephone consultation for QRA muscle testing on my Contact page.

          HELP YOURSELF:

1.        It is the ratio of LDLs to HDLs that is most important.  This ratio should be 2:1 or below.  Take a daily dose of 1000 mgs. of Omega 3 HDLs as cod liver oil for TEMPORARY SYMPTOM repair.  Temporary support means taking HDLs does help out to some degree as long as you take them.  Taking HDLs because of high LDLs is like using an aspirin for a pain (See Anti-Aging heading).  Taking HDLs will raise the ratio of LDLs to HDLs a bit and give you more time, but taking HDLs does not go after the cause of the high LDLs.

2.        Cholesterol is normally broken down and digested by bile, which is produced by the liver and stored and excreted by the gallbladder.  A gallbladder that is overwhelmed with parasites (See Intestinal heading) or toxic hydrogenated oil generally has gummy, thick bile. Thick bile is difficult for a gallbladder to excrete and can over time thicken further into stones.  (See Oils heading for a discussion of good, bad and worst oils).  Coffee enemas clean out a gummy gallbladder gentler than flushes - particularly for Vata body types.

A.       Take one to two teaspoons of PRL’s Gallbladder ND for two to four months FIRST BEFORE starting a coffee enema regimen (See Enema heading).

B.       A week or two before starting the coffee enema regimen, take two PRL’s BiliVen daily for a couple of months to open the duct of the gallbladder so that stones and/or the gummy stuff can ooze out of the gallbladder easier.

3.        Avoid fatty meats, dairy, sugary drinks, processed salt, hydrogenated oil and fried food.  The top foods to help raise HDLs and/or lower LDLs are:

A.       Fatty fish - salmon, trout, sardines.

B.       Olive oil - especially extra virgin.

C.       Plant sterols in PRL’s Cardio Pro Bars, fruit - particularly berries, apples, pears and prunes - and veggies - particularly garlic, kidney beans and seeds.

D.       Oats and barley.

E.       Walnuts and almonds.

4.        Drink plenty of water (See Constipation and Cancer headings).

5.        Exercise, including an inversion table.  (See Immune heading for exercise comparison). 

          Low cholesterol - below 150 - is most likely caused by a leaky gut and/or a hormone imbalance (See Intestinal and Hormonal headings).


Poor CIRCULATION - Cold Feet and/or Hands

          If circulation in anything is poor, something is stopped up.  And plaque does constrict arteries, like the commercials show us.  (See Cholesterol heading for a discussion of plaque, which I call patches - because that is LDLs’ job.  LDLs patch holes in the circulatory tree - veins, arteries and capillaries.)  However, poor circulation is usually an overload of toxins.

        Toxins are designed to leave the body through the two main detoxification organs - the liver and intestines.  Most Americans have a poorly functioning liver, because they do not generally eat (the B vitamins in) raw greens (See Fatigue heading).  Additionally, many Americans have dysfunctional intestines.  Thus, in many Americans the two main methods to detoxify are not working properly.  When the two main detoxification organs are overloaded, the blood will move toxins to the three minor detoxification organs - the kidneys, lungs and skin.  If the body is still overloaded with toxins, gravity forces toxins to begin to pool at the lower most point of the extremities - the feet and hands.  As the hands and feet fill up with toxins:

1.        Blood circulation becomes more labored.

2.        Blood pressure rises.

3.        Feet and hand become puffy and cold.

As circulation worsens, the toxins build up in the ankles and wrists, then begin to clog up legs and arms and become painful - particularly at the joints where blood vessels crowd together more than in the lower and upper legs and arms.

        Mudpacks remove congested toxins in body tissue (See Toxins heading).  QRA tested PRL mudpacks are so incredibly effective that Vata body types usually can only do one mudpack per week on a small part of their body - such as a foot - without getting cleansing symptoms from the 15% of the toxins left in the tissue.  A PRL mudpack takes out about 85% of the toxins in that site (See Toxins and Mudpacks headings).  I have seen systolic blood pressure drop as much as 25 points after mudpacking (in my office) both feet and hands in one session.  When this does happen, the blood pressure drop is only TEMPORARY.  Within a day or two more toxins will move down to the hands and feet waiting to be removed.


CONSTIPATION

        HELP YOURSELF:  To TEMPORARILY relieve constipation:

1.        Drink more fluid.  Most people only drink a fraction of the fluid that their bodies need.  A general rule of thumb is to drink half of your body weight in ounces per day - for example 75 ounces of fluid for a 150 pound person.  If you do not drink nearly this amount, BUILD UP SLOWLY.  And find something to drink that you like, or you won’t keep it up.  I say fluid instead of water, because every person’s body that I have tested actually prefers ginseng green tea, rooibos herbal tea, green tea and Temple of Health herbal tea to water (in that order) because of their healing nature.

         Republic of Tea has done for tea what Starbucks did for coffee.  I have tried a few Allegro and Rishi brand teas, but I prefer the Starbucks of tea - republicoftea.com.  Allegro’s tea just doesn’t taste as good, and it takes twice as much tea leaves to get close to the same flavor.  Rishi may have the most awards, but they are into the slightest differences between all of the various species of teas.  I’ll take the cinnamon, vanilla, chocolate, milk, almonds, honey, berries, ginseng, ginger, lemongrass, etc. that Republic of Tea blends into their teas hands down.

         I have muscle tested many of Republic of Tea’s organic and nonorganic teas and herbals, and they all tested strong - nontoxic.  If caffeine keeps you awake, drink the teas with caffeine - green tea and yerba mate - until 4:00 and the rooibos/red tea and other herbal teas after 4:00.  I use one rounded tablespoon of Republic of Tea’s loose tea or four tea bags to make a little more than two quarts of iced tea.  I tear open the tea bags and put bags and all into about two cups of hot water.  Steep at least 20 minutes.  Pour out into a pitcher.  Then put a second two cups of hot water into the pot to use up all of the tea.  I also put about ½ teaspoon of Agave syrup into an 11 oz. glass of cold tea.  If you really like the smell of the tea in the tea bag that the tea comes in but you don’t like the tea as a drink as much as you thought you would, change the concentration - use more or less tea leaves or tea bags.

         I have purchased over 25 varieties of Republic of Tea’s $10 small bags containing 36 to 50 tea bags to sample.  If you are like me - and do not like Hibiscus, rose or citrus in your tea - you will love my Republic of Tea favorites in descending order:

A.       Jasmine Jazz:  If you are a person who literally stops to smell the flowers, this is the tea for you.  My husband even says he can taste the flowers when he kisses me after I have been drinking it.  Jasmine Jazz is Republic of Tea’s most expensive tea, but it is still only 54 cents per 12 oz. glass.  If that is too expensive for you, purchase Rishi’s award winning jasmine green tea by the pound at Whole Foods at about half the price - which is about the same price of the rest of Republic of Teas’s teas.  Honestly, in order to smell the difference - and we do taste with our noses - you need to drink a glass of each Jazmine Jazz and Rishi’s jasmine tea within a day or two of each other.  If you close your eyes while sipping Jasmine Jazz tea, you would think there are actually jasmine flowers in the glass - not so with Rishi’s jasmine green tea or any other jasmine green tea for that matter.

          TEST THIS YOURSELF:  Have a friend blindfold you and feed you a piece of an apple and a piece of an onion.  See if you can tell which is which.  Most people cannot.

B.       Double Dark Chocolate Mate:  Chocolate lovers will fall in love with this tea - as I have.  I do, however, add half a teaspoon of raw chocolate while the tea is steeping, and put one full teaspoon of Agave into an 11 oz. glass of cold tea.  Admittedly I am a chocoholic, but raw chocolate is the best antioxidant - bar none!

C.       Yerba Mate Latte is a full bodied tea with rooibos, cocoa and almonds.

D.       Dream by the Fire:  A red tea with cinnamon and vanilla is a taste to die for.

E.       Pomegranate Green Tea or Pomegranate Vanilla Red Tea.  Need I say more?  They’re sweet.

F.        Honey Ginseng green tea is zingy - a little too zingy for me, a Pitta body type, unless I use only one or two tea bags for two quarts of iced tea.

G.       Double Green Matcha Tea:  If you like avocados and sweet green grass, you will love this one.

2.        Eat more natural fiber as whole grains and raw or lightly cooked vegetables.  We scrub and wash the skin on the outside of our bodies with lots of water and soap.  And the SKIN ON THE INSIDE of our bodies needs to be scrubbed with lots of water and fiber too (See Intestinal heading).

3.        Do a SALT FLUSH, which is an enema with 16 oz. of warm water and one teaspoon of finely ground sea salt for up to a 170 pound person.  Use up to 24 oz. of water and two teaspoons of salt if you weigh over 200 pounds (See Enema heading).

4.        Place your feet up on a stool tall enough to put your knees at a two to three inch incline down to your buttocks when sitting on the toilet.  You will then be able to eliminate more thoroughly.  Also your right thigh will push up against your ileosecal valve (that connects the small intestines to the large intestines at the lower portion of the right side of the intestines) so that if you are straining, fecal matter is not pushed back into your small intestines.

        Constipation can also be a result of low functioning adrenals (See Fatigue heading).  If constipation is chronic or alternates with diarrhea, make an appointment for an in-person or telephone consultation for QRA muscle testing on my Contact page (See Intestinal heading).


Healthiest Ways to COOK FOOD

HELP YOURSELF:

1.        Cook food Chinese style, quickly, on high in a teaspoon or two of olive oil, coconut oil or organic butter and about the same amount of water.  Thin slice veggies and meat.  Cut meat across the grain, and stir constantly for two minutes.  Add the veggies.  Cook one or two more minutes till leaves are wilted or asparagus is still crisp.  Food cooked in this way is much, much healthier than nuking it in a microwave or breaking it down in an oven or a pot.

2.        Raw or lightly cooked dark green vegetables help out the liver and adrenals the most, but they also do contain a considerable amount of fiber, which is needed to avoid constipation.  It is rare to find an American with a liver that QRA muscle tests strong; and if you are fatigued, your adrenals would like some help.

A.       Asparagus is the most potent of the most readily available foods to clean the liver, because of its high level of glutathione.  CostCo has asparagus in two pound bunches at a very reasonable price.  If you are not going to go through the two pounds within three days, cut the flower parts - the top two to three inches - for the first meal.  That is the part that spoils first.  Cut off the next two to three inches for the next day’s meal.  After that, break the asparagus; and throw away the white and green part of the break.  It is very tough, and not very good in a smoothie either.  The white part has very fine tough fibers.  Cook as above, quickly on high with olive oil.  Add sea salt AFTER cooking.

B.       Kale Salad with Avocado Dressing:  Strip the dark green part of about three leaves (of medium sized regular green kale, not dinosaur kale) off of the tough spine of the leaf.  Throw the spine away.  Cut the kale into one inch strips.  Turn the kale a half turn, and cut again into one inch strips.  Chop or break into pieces about ¼ cup of onion.  Separately mash half of an avocado - leaving some lumps.  Add one teaspoon of lemon juice and four teaspoons of water.  Add 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt.  Stir and mix in with the kale and onion.

C.       Spinach:  Mince one clove of garlic.  If you smash a garlic clove by pushing down with the side of a large knife, the garlic skin practically falls off.  Cut half a bunch of spinach into two-inch strips.  Rinse in a strainer (This is all the water that is needed).  Put the garlic and one to two teaspoons of olive oil into the pan.  (Most people should have one tablespoon of a good oil daily.)  Turn the heat up to high.  Throw the spinach into the pan.  Stir for two minutes or until spinach has just started to wilt.

3.        For a boost of sustained energy, eat starch for lunch or breakfast.  My favorite starches are:

A.        Sweet Potato:  Slice a sweet potato (the light skinned kind that are orange on the inside.  I think they are called Jewel yams also.) into about 1/4 inch slices.  Steam until you can put a fork into a slice and pull it back out again without picking up the slice - about 15 to 20 minutes depending on the quantity.  Mash.  Add sesame oil, coconut oil or ORGANIC butter and sea salt.  Toxins are commonly deposited in fat.  Butter is fat. These sweet potatoes are cooked food.  Take a digestive enzyme, HCL and Activator with it.

B.       100% whole grain spaghetti with olive oil, butter, salt and a little chili or Italian spices.

4.        Eggs are the protein by which other proteins are measured, according to the speakers at advanced nutritional seminars I have attended.  Eggs are excellent, complete proteins, as are all green vegetables, cauliflower, nuts, seeds, mushrooms and also beans when eaten with rice.   The purpose of protein is to build and repair muscle tissue.  So add more animal protein to your diet if you are breaking down and repairing muscle tissue, such as:

A.       Receiving deep tissue massage.

B.       Doing more than two PRL mudpacks per week.

C.       Have parasites.

D.       Are a body builder or long distance runner.

      Tossing out the yolk and eating the white of an egg, is like eating white flour, calcium carbonate, calcium citrate or synthetic vitamins (See Intestinal, Bone and Supplements headings). The bulk of the nutrition has been removed or is simply not present.  The nutrition is in the unborn bird, not in the packing material - the egg white.  Further, egg whites are one of the hardest foods for the body to digest - as would be the packing material we use to ship packages.  Egg-eating animals only eat the yolk - not the white packing material.  However, I am not advocating that you eat the yolk and discard the white, because I am willing to concede that at some future date egg whites may be proven to provide some nutritional component necessary to the use the nutrients in the egg yolk.  Eat food as God gave it to you.  It is that way for a reason, and we may not currently know all of the reasons.  (For cholesterol information, see Cholesterol heading.) 

         For excellent soft boiled eggs, add one to two eggs to boiling water.  Boil for five to six minutes.  Runny yolks have lots of usable magnesium.  Cooked yolks do not.  Add a teaspoon or so of vinegar to the water when boiling hard boiled eggs.  After 15 to 20 minutes, pour out the hot water and fill with cold water.  Pour out and fill again with cold water.  Let the eggs sit in the cold water for a couple of minutes, and the shells will practically fall off on their own.

5.        Kidney beans are a real treat for the liver and kidneys to help with detoxification.  Soak beans over night.  Pour out the water.  Add fresh water and cook on the stove on #1 for a few hours until tender.  Many excellent health practitioners consider food cooked at this temperature (less than 180%) to be “raw”.  Beans cooked in this way usually do not give gas.  Long grain and brown rice may be cooked in the same way for a considerably shorter period of time.  For even better flavor try black wild rice and black fragrant rice - at Whole Foods or a Chinese market.  Use two parts of water to one part of rice.   Add a teaspoon of oil for fluffier rice.

6.        Fermenting Raw Food:  Fermented raw food is often the only food that people who have had sections of their intestines removed can eat without upset.  To ferment raw food, chop - banana and nuts for example - into smaller pieces.  Mix a small amount of miso into the mixture.  Form and place on a dehydrator.  To ferment larger pieces brush them with miso.  Dry in a dehydrator. Yamabuki plain miso QRA tests strong and can be found at MT Supermarket, the Chinese market on La Mar at the back right corner in the tofu section in Austin, Texas.  Do NOT use flavored miso - plain only.  Most of the flavored miso I have tested - even in Whole Foods - does not test strong (and will therefore not help to make your body test strong (See Supplements heading).  Vinegar can also be used to ferment.  Braggs vinegar tests strong.

7.        Air cookers are great for thicker animal protein like whole steak, pork and chicken parts; but this is cooked food, so take PRL’s Digest, HCL and Activator with the meal.  To add tenderness marinate red meat in olive oil for at least 30 minutes.  Pork appears to be too dense to be tenderized by being marinated in olive oil.  Try a hammer-like metal meat tenderizer.  It works great.


DEPRESSION

SYMPTOM vs. CAUSE

          Depression is often said to be caused by a neurochemical or hormonal imbalance in the brain.  Taking drugs or herbs for a neurochemical or hormonal imbalance in the brain is managing the SYMPTOM, not attacking the cause of depression (See Anti-aging heading for a common example of “killing the messenger.”)  The important question is:  What is causing the neurochemical or hormonal imbalance in each individual case?  The answer can be one or more of the following:

1.       Systemic whole body Candida yeast that puts out over 130 different hormones which cause among other things fuzzy thinking and mood swings.  Once Candida has set up housekeeping in the intestines, it sends out roots into the intestinal lining.  (See Intestinal heading for the self test and the cause of Candida overgrowth.)  Candida roots in intestinal lining cause leakage of intestinal contents - often called leaky gut syndrome.  The intestine’s job is to remove waste.  Much of the blood’s job is to pick up toxic waste from anywhere in the body and take it to the liver.  Thus, the blood picks up the toxins leaking from the intestines and takes them to the liver.  The liver processes the toxins and sends the toxins through the gallbladder and back into the intestines for removal as waste - a self-perpetuating toxic cycle until the cause of the toxins is eliminate (See Intestinal heading).

         The liver soon becomes overloaded with the daily onslaught of returning toxins also.  Undigested food and toxic waste then floods the minor detoxification organs - kidneys, lungs and skin - as well as the immune system, as the blood searches desperately for a place to store this daily overload of toxins.  The brain is a preferred spot to store toxins, because it is more than 60% fat (See Toxin and Intestinal headings).

2.       When the liver is overloaded, toxins leak out thru the bile veins - even if the gallbladder has been removed.  Bile vein leakage is then another site from which the blood picks up toxic waste and searches for a place to store it.  When the liver and/or intestines are overloaded, they tell the blood:  "Sorry, I am full.  Take that load of toxin somewhere else."  The secondary detoxification organs soon become overloaded, and the blood continues to circulate the toxins searching for a place to store them.  Circulating toxins cause temporary headaches, fuzzy thinking and/or mood swings.  However, because the brain is one of the body’s most preferred sites to store toxins, headaches, fuzzy thinking and mood swings can become more enduring - and turn into migraine headaches (See Toxins heading).

3.       The lungs are one of the minor detoxification organs, so liver and intestinal overload is taken there.  When the lungs become overloaded, they spill toxins out into the muscles between the ribs.  Muscles full of toxins have difficulty contracting and expanding the lungs.  It is the contraction and expansion of these muscles that brings oxygen into the lungs and waste out.  Systemic low oxygen not only promotes fuzzy thinking and mood swings, it also promotes a low pH in which all chronic degenerative diseases thrive (See Intestinal heading).  When the upper respiratory system - the nose and sinuses - try to help out in expelling toxins, they often cause sneezing, fill up with fluid and get infected.

4.       The body needs oils/fats in order to make neural transmitters and hormones.  The quality of fats that we eat determines the quality and quantity of our neural transmitters.  Omega 3 oils are solely responsible for short distance neural communication, such as that between neurons within the brain itself, for example from the parietal reading processing area to the temporal memory area and from the temporal memory area to the central speech area.  (See Oils heading for good, bad and worst oils.)        Omega 3 oils have long been known to protect the body from hormonal imbalance and low serotonin levels, which can cause depression.  Everyone should take ½ to 1 teaspoon of a good cod liver oil daily for brain, heart and skin health depending upon their weight.  (See the Bad section in the Oils heading for the huge difference in the quality of Omega 3 oils on the market).

5.       Long-standing low functioning thyroid - hypothyroid - can lead to depression and an addiction to stimulants (See Fatigue heading and also uric acid  in the Intestinal heading).

6.       The uterus, ovaries and prostate rely upon a healthy continuous conversation between the adrenals and the brain.  If you are tired a lot, your adrenals are fatigued.  The conversation between the adrenals and the brain then slows down - and the output of hormones becomes out of balance.  (See the Poor Nutrition section in the ADD heading and also the Toxins and Fatigue headings.)

7.       Many pesticides and growth hormones given cows, chickens and pigs mimic the chemical structure of estrogen.  They, therefore, plug into the estrogen receptor sites, creating hormone imbalance.  Growth hormones and pesticides are oil solvents, so they are found in the fat of inorganic meat.  Do not eat the fat.  Pesticides are also found on inorganic veggies.  (See the processed food section in the Budget heading for places to get inorganic meat and veggies that do not QRA test toxic.) 

CLEARING DEPRESSION can often take a year or even up to two years (with a Vata body type), because it often means helping the body to:

1.       Raise pH by getting rid of all infections.  Whole body - systemic - pH affects mood (See the maintenance section in the Intestinal heading).

2.       Clean out accumulated toxin using mudpacks.  An overload of toxins and the pain they can cause also affects mood (See Toxins heading).

3.       Clear all detoxification organs, including the intestines, liver, kidneys, lungs and skin - often one at a time with a Vata body type:  I do NOT recommend a liver or gallbladder flush without being under the care of an excellent QRA practitioner.  I have had clients who went to other holistic practitioners that recommended flushing the client’s gallbladder or liver.  These clients had gallstones, so they were in pain for months after the flush.  A good gallbladder flush (often called gallbladder cleanse) works by contracting the gallbladder to flush out thick, gummy bile.  However, if there are stones in that thick gummy bile, the contraction can rip holes in the gallbladder.

A.       HELP YOURSELF:  With mild depression, helping the body clear the liver could be all that is needed - but in my experience this is quite rare.

i.          Supply sulphur based foods which help the liver to detoxify itself:  PRL’s Medi Aminos, buckwheat, black beans, kidney beans and pinto beans (See Cook heading).

ii.        Daily eating lots of raw green vegetables.  Most of the B vitamins in green veggies go into the water along with all of the minerals when we cook food (See Cook heading).  For many people it is easier to daily drink a raw food smoothie (See Smoothie heading).  Asparagus is the most readily available food that can help to detoxify the liver (See Budget heading).  But simply cleaning the liver will NOT clear infections - and infection in the liver is common.  If after four to six months (because food takes much longer to help you heal than quality herbs) you do not see much difference, make an appointment for an in-person or telephone consultation for QRA muscle testing on my Contact page. 

iii.      Take PRL’s Max B.  However, I do NOT recommend taking PRL’s Max B - with live B vitamins - without being under the care of an excellent QRA practitioner.  Vata body types usually need to build up with Max B very slowly - by the drop.  Max B can detoxify a Vata’s liver too quickly and give them unpleasant cleansing symptoms.

B.       HELP YOURSELF:  To clear the gallbladder, take two to four teaspoons of PRL’s Gallbladder ND for one to two months first.  Then start a coffee enema regimen (See Enema heading).  Continue taking the Gallbladder ND for an additional two to three months.  Coffee enemas actually help the liver, gallbladder, kidneys and adrenals even more than they help the intestines.

4.       Clear dental infections:  Infection leaking from teeth is a fairly common problem that is often overlooked (See Cancer heading).  Dental infections constantly leak toxins out into the surrounding area.  All infections hold pH down (See Intestinal heading).
